Transcendence is a collection of works in the form of an art book that Tawatchai Somkong created in 1994 while studying at Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, India.
The Transcendence collection was inspired by Santiniketan’s night sky. He captured the sensations of twinkling stars, billowing clouds, gentle breezes and the smell of dried earth and interpreted them into symbols using simple colors and black lines.
These works chosen for VERNICEAIR™ reflect on the perpetual dimension of centrality between the earth and the sky as an ever-changing space, capable - along their iconography - of visually connecting our mind and soul.
